We are able to offer a confidential FAMILY support service to our parents and carers. Through South West Family Values.
Andrea Gjikolaj, our family support worker, is available for three hours a week to provide help and advice to our families. She has a wide range of skills and experience to support children and families, and can offer help and advice with bedtime and morning routines, behaviour management, housing and benefit advice and lots more.
The service he offers is totally confidential; please contact the school office if you would like an appointment either in school or at home, or contact Andrea direct on 07917204826 if you prefer, for any advice and guidance.
Here at Babbacombe Primary School we are deeply committed to the emotional wellbeing of all our pupils. We strive to provide first class pastoral care and have a wide range of provision to meet the needs of our pupils. We have embedded a PSHE program into our curriculum and this is delivered weekly through whole class teaching in each year group and in the form of small group work for targeted children.
In addition we offer Talk Time to meet individual children's emotional needs. We can also provide individual anger managment support programmes and friendship mentoring if needed.
We are lucky to have a trained bereavement counsellor on our staff who can support children and adults who have experienced loss.
If you feel your child needs additional pastoral support pleas contact our lead - Jayne Hart.
We are very fortunate to employ the services of a qualified counsellor who provides 1:1 counselling for children, who have emotional or behavioural needs; we also offer support for parents. Anne is a registered member of BACP.
