 Friday 25th February learning plan for the day

 9.30- 10.00 Maths

 Order numbers within 50.

 Task- We will find a range numbers on part of a 100 square. Next, we will look at sets of numbers represented in different ways, including: within tens frames, dienes, digits and words. We will order them from smallest to greatest and vice versa. Please complete questions 1 to 4 in the worksheet ‘Order numbers within 50’ after our whole class learning.

 

 The following video could be used in the place of the live lesson if you are unable to attend.

10.30-10.50 Phonics

We will say our sounds and read some common exception words together. We will write the words do and when. Next, we will look at the split digraph o-e and read write some words with o-e, e.g. rose, joke and explode. We will then match some o-e words and pictures. The children can have a go at writing a dictated sentence with o-e words. Following our learning the children can work on the activity sheet o-e Grapheme Spotter.

 

11.00 – 11.40 English

 

Creating sentences starting with verbs

Task- We will look at some pictures from the story How to Wash a Woolly Mammoth and create sentences to go with them, starting with a verb each time to form simple instructions. We will orally rehearse some sentences together and then the children will be able to write their own sentences for each picture.

Choose one of your favourite books at home to read today together!

 

2.00 – 2.45pm Well-being Friday

 

Take time this afternoon to do something you enjoy: going for a walk, playing with your favourite toy or game, doing some arts and crafts, a jigsaw or even some baking.
